You are cordially invited to the third annual Jane Austen Birthday Tea. It promises to be a veritable feast for the senses!

Your ears will be enchanted when you enter to the soft sound of live music by harpist Carol Kihm. Your fingers will be tickled whilst you flip through pages at the book sale and peruse Jane Austen-themed gifts at the silent auction. Your nose and taste buds will be delighted when you sit down to a table set with sweet and savory delights by Beth Sogaard Catering. And your eyes will be entertained when they watch the spectacle of live English Country Dancing led by the Sacramento Contra Dance Society, featuring Quite Carried Away.

Admission to the event is free to members of the Friends of the Sacramento Public Library or the Jane Austen Society of North America. Non-members will pay $10 (cash or check only) at the door, with the option of joining the Friends or Society at that time. In order to ensure adequate seating, each person planning to attend must register.

Doors open at 1:00, dining begins at 2:00, dancing at 3:00.
